This hydrometer is 22.5cm long and measures a range between 0.990 and 1.120, and is supplied with instructions in a protective tube. It's a hydrometer Sent on 29 July 2010It's a hydrometer, used to measure the specific gravity (the density) of a liquid. It's as shown in the picture, and comes in a small plastic tube. You can pay more for a sample jug to go with it, but you can just as well use the storage container, just be careful not to overfill it.
It has readings on it for estimated alcohol content, but you're better to use an online calculator to give you a more accurate answer.
